Anyone using the Century 1.6x Teleconveter?

Just wondering, I'm thinking of buying it soon and want to know if anyone has experienced softening around the edges of the image.

I spoke to a guy from Century yesterday and he indicated that this problem occurs with all of their teleconverters but I'm wondering to what extent it happens with the DVX.

just curious..but what particular effect/result are you hoping to use it for? I am considering it for nature stuff and better depth in general..but its pretty $$!

My genre is nature filmmaking, that's why I need a telephoto...
