Anyone using LCD screens in their rig?

Hey is anyone using little LCD screens in their audio rigs to monitor the frame while shooting?

I had this idea to do it by adding an extra cable into the umbilical as RCA, and then splitting the video output from the camera so 1 feed comes to me, and the other goes to the main monitor. Any dangers with using a little rca splitter type thing, like is quality worse?

And what LCD is a good, low-ish cost option with battery power to do this?

I reckon it could be a handy tool for field production..

Do a test. Try splitting it-- chances are that you'll need a DA to get a reasonable picture. I could be wrong, but I'm betting that I'm not.
