I was wondering if anyone is using the waveform monitors (IRE and color) in FCP while shooting to get a good view of the levels of your shoot with the DVX.
I ASS U ME that I would come out of the 1394 ("firewire") out from the DVX, into the Firewire in on my powerbook and open the Waveform monitor in "Log and Capture" window.
I realize it would only be of limited use outdoors and in run-and-gun shoots, but as i do a lot of indoor shoots and in-studio shoots it could be very helpful here.
Has anyone done this? How's it worked for you?
