Anyone currently using Cineform Neoscene with Premiere Pro CS3? What are your results? Are you happy with it? I have Adobe CS3 Master Collection and it set me back a good penny so I won't be moving to CS5 for a very long time.

I am.

It performs fine, but your question is a bit odd - performance will depend on your system and just because it works fine for me doesn't mean it will for you. Plus with CS3, it's almost a necessity for cutting AVCHD footage, which can't be handled natively.

I find it is fairly similar to cutting HDV in terms of speed/performance. In Vegas, it is much faster than working with the native AVCHD files, but I can't give a similar comparison in Premiere seeing as it can't handle AVCHD.

Great! 33 freaking views and no one can drop a
freaking comment!

Ok. Ok. I'll comment...

You remind me of Ray Romano :)

Seriously though, I use Cineform Neoscene with CS3 - works great. Converts my
7D files to AVI, which I can then edit very smoothly. I highly recommend it.

I'm going to be upgrading to CS5. If you have CS3, the upgrade is $750 for
Production Premium. I don't what it is for Master Collection, but it should be
quite a cost savings.

Good luck!

I have a duel core AMD 4200 with 2gb ram, 250gb primary drive, 500gb storage drive, 1gb Nvidia card with 600 watt power supply and currently building an After Effects render farm
using Iron Grid Nucleo Pro. Yes, I know the system is ancient but trying to squeeze it for all it's worth
until I build my Windows 7 dream machine with 24gb of RAM.

I won't be building a new computer until next year. Finances won't allow it right now so Cineform will be my only option. Hopefully, I can build it sooner rather than later but will
still need Cineform for my dusty old AMD machine.
