There is nothing like video editing to eat up storage and we often need to archive a project after it is done. We don't need it 'online' but the idea of going back to DV tapes to recapture is scary.
Hence the move to using bare hard drives - we hook up a low cost hard disk drive, and transfer the completed project, then put the drive on the shelf.
A product that looks like it will make this process easier is the SATA HDD Stage Rack:

Does anyone have any experience using one of these? I'm looking at this model:

It has a firewire800 connection which is handy! If anyone out there has used one of these and has any opinions, I'd love to hear them.
