Anyone use this...?

Has anyone use a Contour Design Shuttle Pro?

I am looking at getting one and wondering if anyone has used one and how/if they like it. Like/Dislikes.

Let me know. Thanks!

Yeah, I use one. Mine was a gift, and at first I thought it was gong to be just a cheesy "add on". After setting it up and personalizing it to my tastes, I love it. I can set one small button at the tip of my finger to acomplish what would take four fingers on the keyboard. Make's things go MUCH faster (for me anyway).

The only downside that I've seen is that I get so used to editing with it, I sometimes get rusty on the keyboard if I don't have the shuttle with me (or I'm edting on someone else's workstation).

Anyway, I dig it, and I'd recommend it.

I've got one too… And didn't use it a lot (actually, it was disconnected !).

I go more spontaneaously to the keyboard and the Jog/Shuttle is not very responsive…

But it give your editing suite a very cool "Quantel" look !

great for sound scrubbing- used to use it a bit when I got it. Been sitting on the shelf for a couple of years now.
