I have the mk-012 bella nero from sound room. My experience is that ANY wind against the diaphragm will bottom the mic out. I bought a ktek kssm (extra s is the extra soft rubber) for a mount and a rycote baby ball gag.
With those two things i found the oktava to be serviceable. I stuck a foam ball on mine and it wasnt enough. But... okatavas and foam balls differ greatly, so thats not really conclusive of anything.
Even with those things, you gotta be really careful with handling and movement. I finally got frustrated with the workarounds and bought a schoeps. Turns out the handling noise is an issue on that mic too, so the kssm still gets service. (although the bbg only gets used outdoors now)
akg sounds like an interesting mic. definitely worth a listen.
cheers!
