Anyone use the Digital Juice Slyderdolly?

Not a bad price, just curious on actual usability. I can't afford a full doorway/track system and want to get something not DIY. Kessler too pricey.

It doesn't look bad, but maybe it's because I don't like to overpay for something I can make myself for less than half of their price, these things looks overpriced for what they do.
They're pretty much the same price and they're virtually doing the same thing.
There's always: Silent Slider from Camera Motion, Merlin Dolly, or JuicedLink Slider : One that I particulary liked (watch the smooth video):

Just in case, all that to say that it (the juicedlink slider: in this thread) inspired me to build one myself that works great and doesn't look that bad:

I have been researching sliders and the like for a while now, and what I have decided to get it a Cinemover dolly. It seems to be the most versatile, and least expensive, option for camera movement I have seen. Check out the web site, especially the videos.

Great, I forgot this one! Is that the guy that put a video doing these in his garage? I think but I'm not sure. For the price, you really can't go wrong.
Thanks for adding it to the list!

Yep, that is the one. I just put my order in for one and, because they are so inexpensive, I am going to get some more to send to a couple of my filmmaker friends as Christmas presents.

Yes, the Digital Juice Slyderdolly is on my Xmas list. It looks very well made ( supports a 30 lb camera package ) with oil-filled metal bearings which should make it very quiet.

no , but im either gonna go with a 40 or 64inch. i wish the price was cheaper on the 64 inch length. 400 dollars for an extra 24inches.

i dont think 64inches is even worth it for cinema use since you have to go slow to keep 24p blur down anyways.

what are some good C-stands to go with it? im at $787 without cstands

c-stand kit $119
high hat kit $129
level legs $139
40 inch slider $400

i love the customizability of this unit on quick release cstands, and the smoothness of it with knob pressure adjustment is sweet

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm using the AF100 and even though I'm keeping my setup light, I'd like to keep away from those built specifically for DSLR. I will look at your recommendations thoroughly though.

Thanks for the plugs you guys!

Yeah, I'm still building, and the garage is still a mess, but I'm cranking out Cinemovers as fast as the orders come in. If you'd like to order some for friends for Christmas, be sure to check my holiday schedule at moveyourcamera.com. I do have a "real" job as well, and it takes me on the road from time to time—especially this time of the year. And while Delta has 12V power ports in a lot of seats, I haven't found they have enough juice to run a drill press. And I'll be away from the 18th until after Christmas, so after about the 16th there's a chance Santa may not be able to pick them up in time for delivery by the 25th.

Thanks again. Holler with any questions.

Baddgsx, I just ordered my 64 digital juice slyder 64 inch today, it is on sale for 400. for the long one. The 40 inch one was on sale for 299 but out of stock. I was about to order the back ordered 40 inch yester when I backed out of the final click. Today I get an email they had 20 of the larger ones in stock. I pulled the trigger and ordered. They look very well made.

They're good products. Louder than say a GlideTrack, but not terrible if you're moving the carriage slowly like you should. The hi-hat is a must and helps with getting the camera up higher for utilizing the unit for dolly in and out moves (though I seem to have misplaced mine today...) Much stronger than most other inexpensive products, It's holding up just fine with a 10lb AF100 kit. The 40" is plenty long for my use.

Took delivery today, very smooth and high quality build. Noise= yes. Smooth!!!!!! When I saw the size of the box I thought oh no... Too big. After putting it on two tripods I see it is perfect!! Nice case included in the special. Very rigged rail, easy to move around. Nice adjustable brake drag.
