I have a couple of their ND grads--a 2-stop soft edge and a 3-stop hard edge. The quality is excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to pick up a few more.

I have about 50 of them, and will only buy Formatt now. The glass is beautiful and the little metal band they put around helps eliminate alot of nicks and chips you normaly could get. Its the only filter I.. errr... I mean my camera assistant has ever dropped and not damaged.

not a chance :)

50 sounds like alot, but there are really only 6 or 7 types, since you have i.e Coral 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1 , 2 , 3 etc. power for each filter.

I was looking at getting some on that ZGC site. Where is the best place to buy them from?

ZGC is a good place, but alot of stores are just starting to get them in.

I agree with Jared: good quality glass, nice protective band.

Plus, they package 'em nice!

Only problem I ever encountered was using a Matteblox with a Formatt 4x4 in it that mustn't have been seated quite right. The metal band showed up in the shot at full zoom-out. This is probably not bad, though, since if the band hadn't showed up I wouldn't have known part of the image wasn't filtered anymore. ::)
