Anyone use Fiverr or other freelance sites to find help on your projects?

Wondering what aspects of filmmaking can be outsourced to cheaper alternatives. I suppose you can't outsource your director or lighting person, but editing? Script writing, Animation, titles, music, scoring, Foley, web design? Good cost saving alternative or you get what you pay for?

Almost everyone is looking to save money these days.

Everything you mentioned is available to be purchased from third-parties, even scripts (although these are usually more personal for people).

A lot of us still create our own animations and titles and music from scratch, but there are so many complex templates and scores out there for such little money (as you mentioned) that it's impossible to compete with better, dedicated talent. And we save lots of time.

MotionVFX is my go-to and they are probably the best in the business as far as creating extremely unique and user-friendly products (mostly in Motion nonetheless) usually made by full-time, life-long students of the craft.

Their mO2 rendering engine and its work would take years to learn in more sophisticated software like Cinema4D or Blender, etc. but it's fully customizable with hundreds of plugins (M1 support still pending).

Anyone can make their normal videos look like Hollywood made them.

P.S. I think you meant not doing any work at all...in which then I think you'd get what you pay for.

No individual on the planet is making any blockbuster-looking type stuff for the money you'd spend above or some other places.

$50-$100 for a template or a set of a few dozen elements that you can keep and spend some time tweaking and using for several projects for the rest of your career is really worth it, IMO.

I use Fiverr for web design/software development. You get some turds. You get burned but if you are careful you can still get good results for a good price. But to be honest, I have heard of plenty of people getting burned with in person web design losers. So in the end, nothing different. The same rules of the road apply.

I will say, do not expect Fiverr to come to your rescue with a sticky situation. They are a modern tech company that is heavy on the 'experience' and marketing but light on the follow through.
