Anyone use avi splitter software?

I need to split up tons of videos into smaller parts in order to encode them for the web.

Now, I know I can load my video into Vegas and cut them up and render out separate parts but this takes a long time.

My question is : do these avi splitting utilities degrage the quality of my video? I know some say "no quality loss" but do they really mean "no noticable quality loss" ?

I'm pretty sure it is lossless, but then you still end up with an avi file to big for the web, and you will still have to bring them into vegas to encode them to their appropriat format.

Just drop the files into a Vegas timeline, select the area where you want to split, hit 's', and then use the render selected file function, and rerender everything out of the timeline.

That should be the quickest way to do it.
