anyone successfully used mpeg streamclip with mavericks?

I'm stalling on picking up my mavericks laptop ... and its for little reasons too.
Its because I love my little 3rd party helper apps like mpeg streamclip
which is my swiss army knife for video.

Searches have given conflicting feedback like this and this

Can anyone post their first hand experiences?

Digging up an old thread... I'm also wondering if anyone has had any issues with their Mac after updating to Mavericks, like slower performances, software incompatibility, etc.

I'm still on 10.6 and I have been concerned with any and all of these issues so I haven't updated my OS.
