Anyone own a Honda Element

I am in the market for a new vehicle and the Element's fold up seat design looks gear friendly. Just wondering if anyone has experience with them good or bad. Can you get a 4x4 silk/flag in one of these?

Matty G has one... I want one.

it's very gear friendly, almost too friendly... because people will ask you to haul gear much more often. lol

Great car, though, and best of all it's a Honda... it'll last forever and it gets great gas mileage.

If they hybridize the Element I'm gonna get one.

Oh, andyes, you can get a 4x4 floppy, silk, a few red camera packages etc in them.

You just have to put the floppies in first then stack beneath them... so you push the floppies or 4x4 frames into the front seat from the back and then stack, then pull them over the chaos.

I have one and love it. But am selling mine. Mainly cause a car in NYC is more trouble than it's worth, and I'm now kind of out of the gear-hauling business. But I've stuffed it full of gear on many occasions. HUGE space inside. Easy to clean out. You can PM me if you want to look at mine. I think they are discontinuing them.

Just got a used one and love it so far. A friend of mine got a first or second gen and recently traded it in for a newer one. It is suspiring nimble and is fantastic combination of physical size and usable cargo space. The rear seats are super easy to flip up and down and if you know you aren't going to need then at all you can pull them out entirely.

I have one, love it. Just drove from Virginia to Texas with it, you can fit a lot of crap in it and had no problem pulling a trailer.

I'm about to buy an Element. They're discontinued, so there will never be a hybrid version. The 2007 version was the last time the design was updated substantially, so I'm looking for one about that new. $15,000-$18,000 is the price range I've been seeing for the 4WD EX model. Not too bad.

I will also be getting this modification: http://www.ursaminorvehicles.com/camper.htm
