Anyone make a worm view mount holder?

Anyone make a worm view mount holder? I could not remember what it was called so don't slay me for no knowing. It doesn't seem like it would be much trouble to make. I want to make one but like the rest of you reading this forum I don't want to shell out the bucks to buy one. Your help will be most appreciated.

"I is an rig to mount your camera to so you can get those nice angles from the ground. "

That just about describes any kind of stabilizer. Going to need more info. or at least a picture.

If I got the right meaning of your request.... you need a 45 deg mirror in front of your lens so you can frame your footage from the ground up. Is this what you want? (something resembling a teleprompter only using full mirror instead of half mirror?)

When I find a link I'll post it. A guy on youtube had a camera stablizer that he fliped it over, with the camera still attached, filmed upside down with the camera real close to the ground, he may have been filming a dog walking or something but down low and close to the dog. Then in editing he turned the film rightside up. I'm trying to eliminate the extra work in editing.

If you want a solution to getting kick ass shots like that then I'm pretty sure I have it. I'm on my laptop now... but I'll get a pic up later. My solution isn't dirt cheap... but it's cheap for what it is.

I made a skater type dolly... a small one, about 14" x 14", and then mounted just one pair of skate wheels at each end of my aluminum angle (look at ANY skate dolly to understand)... then on that board I mounted a Ram Mounts 1.5" (size "c" I believe?) plate... add the clamp mechanism... then another plate... then on that top plate I attached a manfrotto quick release that was in the same size as the current tripod head I use... so that the camera can slide right off the tripod and right onto this mini-dolly.

You want to attach the Ram/Manfrotto assembly to the board with just 4 screws and ideally... wing nuts... or else be sure you always keep what you need to detach this "arm" assembly. While you may be thinking "what's the advantage of this over a slider dolly?"... the answer is that you can not only use this as "lowest mode dolly" (8" lower then any skater... just sandbag the opposite side from the cam and the cam can hang as low as the rail bottoms)... you can also detach the arm, and bolt it UNDERNEATH... then instead of using pvc for rails... get some metal conduit (dirt cheap and rigid)... then you can get a dolly shot over any surface or terrain... showing all the way to the floor/ground (if you like).

I'm not sure if this is the solution you're looking for... but I guarantee it IS a potentially great solution to getting the kind of shots you're wanting.

If you want the simplest solution... then you already mentioned it. Just mount your cam on a monopod and do the shot upside down... let the cam skim the ground and flip in post. This is INCREDIBLY simple to do... INCREDIBLY simple. To say you want to eliminate this in post... it's ONE click! Why worry about that?

If you absolutely insist on eliminating that step... then all you need is an open BOX section, big enough for your camera to slip in... and screw that down to the monopod... and then mount the cam inside of the little "square". Imagine taking a big, square tube... and cutting a 1" slice off of it... that's what I'm talking about.
