I am shooting 13 interviews in one location on Tuesday-Thursday and just lost my boom op. I thought, no big deal, I will just put the boom pole and mic on a regular musician mic stand... nope, won't work. I went to BH and saw how you can use a C-stand a boom clap but I don't have a C-stand nor the money to buy one...
So right now I have an NTG2 for the mic on the end of a KTek cabled boom pole. I need it to be able to extend something close to 6 foot probably. I thought maybe go to Home Depot and get some heavy light stands, but then didn't know how to mount the boom pole to the top of the light stand (other than tons of gaff tape which just seems unprofessional and unsecure).
Any suggestions?
thanks
