Anyone lose an Alexa recently?

Recently responded to a guy selling a sachtler tripod that sounded too good to be true on Kijiji. Sure enough, same story about how he's not in the country but I can wire him the money.... bla bla bla.

If so here it is...

This is not even remotely an industry town, but halfway between Toronto and Montreal, and a relatively easy border crossing near by.

If this is legit I apologize to the seller, but come on, if it walks like a duck.

At that price, it either does not exist at all, or is stolen.

Described, it should be more like $75,000+ as a terrific price! The two cooke lenses cost more than the advertised price alone... not to mention the Alexa!

WOW and haha at the price. Love how its just laying on the floor that way. Makes me think they actually do have the camera and dont have a tripod to put it on. Especially based on the configuration.

I laughed out loud so hard at this. I would probably put it on the floor as well, but because I rarely use a tripod. lolol

Well there you go just a stolen picture unless he's confused and meant to type Copenhagen instead of Canada :S

How'd he know they were cooke primes?

Doh! NVM. Just looked closer and it appears to be a Master Prime. Still curious how the picture theif knew to even say it came with Cookes. Dum Dum Duuuuuuummmmm.

I've written the guys at RED rental to notify them of misuse of their photo. Maybe someone should contact that weird site as well....

I just Flaged the ad on KiJiJI hopefully the admin. at KiJiJi will check it out.

Good find with the source of the Photo. There are all kinds of pictures in full studio mode that you would know is a a scam. This one makes it look like some guy actually has in on his living room floor.
