Anyone looking for a cheap HD LCD?

I just thought I would share this with any of you out there looking for a good deal on an HDTV. Today I purchased a 37-inch HD LCD monitor from Circuit City. It is an Element, which is not as well respected a brand as say a Sony, Samsung, or Panasonic. I bought it on a whim to replace my little 24-inch LCD, and was really pleased with the quality.

It cost me $699.00. Resolution is 1366 x 768. It has 1 HDMI input, 2 component inputs (which will accept a 1080p signal), a VGA input, an S-video input, and 2 composite inputs.

Games, HD video, and standard-def DVD all look good on this monitor.

Anyways, a good find if you are looking for a budget LCD.

The added ability to accept a 1080p signal is kinda nice, but not really worth the extra dough in this set, imo. Since any 1080p device will of course send the other signals as well, and on a set thats not 1080p natively, it doesnt seem too neccessary.

Thats why 699 seems a little high to me for non major brand. I like Olevia and Emprex for the off brands, check out here:
