Anyone know if they make a metal version of this hotshoe adapter?

Hey guys,

I've been using this great little adapter:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Adjustable-...214457?hash=item5d3ec768f9:g:MAYAAMXQkN1RyqoP

It works really well for mounting my monitor on my camera's hotshoe.

The only problem is that it's made from plastic, and i've had a few of them break at inopportune times, and the monitor almost hit the ground.

I've googled quite a bit, but haven't seen anyone making a metal, or harder plastic version.

Anyone have anything they're using with better success?

The key feature of it for me is the ability to pan, and tilt the monitor independently of the camera.

Stick with the plastic adapter. Think of it as a fuse for your camera's hot shoe. Which would you rather break first when you accidentally bang into the monitor and knock it over; the camera or the adapter? Yes, the monitor is in peril, but maybe add a lanyard for the monitor if you are concerned about it.
