Anyone know how to make iPhone apps?

I'm looking for a one man band type operation to write a simple app, something that could be done in a few evenings at home.

Anyone?
 
if you do not know how to write iphone apps, how can you say it should take only few evening ?
I got tons of request like that , which all start with:" Hey can you quickly write a simple apps..... ".
 
I do this stuff, but I have to agree with nosys70. This sounds a little like one of those Craig's List ads everyone complains about: "FCP EDITOR wanted for simple job, 7000 of interviews!"

But, there are a number of turnkey solutions out there. Someone else just turned me on to this one. We've been looking at it for the simple, informational portion of our app:

This seems easy for even a non-programmer, though the configuration is naturally limited. But it seems to have many of the things most magazines, etc have.
 
So... I decided to develop this cool little app that would stream my films from my web site...cool, right? Finished it and submitted it to Apple.

reasonable judgement may be found objectionable, for example, materials that may be considered obscene, pornographic, or defamatory.
" Screenshots have been attached for your reference.

It seems there were a few scenes in "Miss Laid" they didn't care for.... funny thing is it's the shower scene and not the naked girl on the bed scene? Go figure.

I'm removing the offending title from the index and resubmitting... we'll see what happens next.
 
Can someone make a DVXUSER app? The site isn't formatted well for the safari browser. Text is too small. Would make life easier.
 
I had offered that a while back, but Larry said they were just going to do a WAP version of the site eventually.

I have talked to a few people that said what I want done is pretty simple.

I'm selling data for car dealers and it is in a microsoft db file but I can export it to .txt file seprated by commas or tabs or probably any format required.

I think there are freeware database programs for the iPhone that can utilize it but I'd like to spice it up a little and add some cool graphics and have it where the customer doesn;t have to download a 3rd party database program to access my data.

It's a niche market type thing but very usefull for guys in our industry.

well if it is database, it looks an online application (allowing update of data) would be better. In that case , you would just need a online web page, not an application.
 
Don't they have dirty apps for the iphone ? Why would something like that be a problem, not to mention all of the movies they offer now that definitely have rated R stuff in them.

I don't want to update the data, I want them to reorder new data. They will get the data with thier order then if and when they want newer data they will have to re order. I also want the whole database file on the phone so it won't have to wait for the phone to connect to my data on a server. The file isn't to big 100mb.

Can I sell raw data through the apple app store?
 
well , if it is proprietary data (your own) i do not see a problem.
If it is datat that belongs to some car maker, they won't be happy you sell THEIR data.
