Anyone know a good public domain screenplay?

[Jawa Ex Machina]

I've been invited to host a three day screenwriting course about the process of writing, so I need a screenplay we can use for examples.
It needs to be public domain, and preferably something that's been produced and is a film people can get hold of easily.

My first idea was Night of the Living Dead, but I can't find the screenplay (at least not at Drew's or IMSDb). Also, I doubt an independent script written in the 60s would be very relevant today, and to this crowd.

If anyone know a good public domain screenplay, let me know.

If you're not selling it, then you can pretty much use any produced screenplay for examples.

If I recall correctly, "Its a Wonderful Life" with Jimmy Stewart was famous because they forgot to copyright it, so it became public domain. You should double check that though.

Look up copyright "fair use."

Educational use is protected. As long as you're using examples for educational purposes, you are exempt from copyright restrictions.

Yeah I was thinking Educational Purposes too. Not sure how that applies in Sweden and it's not really for me, it's for the school's sake. They need to only go with public domain stuff, but I've mentioned it to them. We'll see.
