found this company and they some nice light kits at very reasonable prices.
anyone bought from this guy?
also,
how are the coolight fixtures that have the standard screw in bulbs vs. standard tota lights. im using 2 500 watt totas with umbrellas for my interviews. how would the fluorescents fare and what wattage of the screw in fluorescents would i get to equal the output of the 500 watt totas.

In general divide the incandescent wattage by four to see what you can get away with in the fluorescent world. Example: 500watt video light = 500/4 = 125 watt fluorescent light to be equivalent. You won't need the umbrellas anymore for anything but when it's raining outside.

I have been looking at his flourescent kits on eBay for some time but haven't sprung for any of them. I did however place an order last week for a chromakey background setup but it hasn't yet arrived. The company seems very customer friendly and were very prompt in taking care of the transaction and getting my merchandise shipped. I believe they have very good ratings on eBay for what that is worth.

I'll let you know whether the product is as good as the service.

I purchased a set of JTL soft-box lights (500w), spot and chromakey kit from Steve Kaesar Lighting in October 2006; found his store on e-bay. It was a good price, fast delivery, quality equipment' basically a professional transaction. I had no problems and have since recommend him to friends looking for lighting equipment.
