Anyone Have Workflow Ideas for Photo Marketing?

I'd like to take my HVX and interview people on the street. Afterward, I'd like to hand them a card that reads something like:

Go see yourself on-line. Visit http://website.com/you/________________

On-site I would write in a number that would later correspond to their specific video. They do this with photographs at Yankees Stadium. Someone take your picture, they hand you card, and they hand-write the gallery number. When you're in the gallery, you find your photo and then you can choose to buy it or not.

Any ideas on how to streamline the "code" prcoess? Maybe make it relate to a filename on the P2 card? I'm really looking for any ideas aside from just starting at the number 1 and moving up. I'd also like to not have to think about it. In other words, if it relates to something on the camera then there is little room for error. Timecode could be option I guess but that seems cumbersome and limiting. Any advice would be obliged.

I think everyone is too busy stealing your idea. lol J/K

Wish i can help you man. Maybe you can fill out the card before each interview and then use it as a slate in front of the camera right before the interview begins. Just a thought.

Good Luck

I wouldn't just do it sequentially. I would tie it to the year/month.

That way, you have an archive system built in. All you have to do is make sure you have a logbook with you so you have the right number for the right person. Jot down some identifying characteristics or something they talked about. And make sure you have health insurance in case you shoot some guy with his mistress and he wants to knock your teeth down your throat.

Thanks for the responses. Is there anything I can sync the code with aside from taking notes about people? That's what I'm trying to avoid. For instance, canI customize the names of the P2 files?

I would print business cards with large, unique "serial numbers" printed on the back. Hold them up as "slate" before shooting the subject. I print my own business cards 10-up on regular card stock. It would be easy enough to print "slate numbers" on the backs.

Or you could just use date and time. That is pretty linear (in this universe) and shouldn't produce any ambiguous results. :-)

Doing a slate would be a good idea.

I can build the back end (andfront end if wanted) for your website.

PM me and we can discuss it further
