Anyone have successful export settings/workload for youtube?

When I see quality like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fE-JjsBEUJ4 on youtube I cry.

Because my videos look nothing like that, quality wise.

I use vegas 8.0, can anyone help me with this problem?

Well, that's a DVX camera, if you only use a cheap camcorder don't expect the same kind of quality. As for exporting, just us the Main Concept iPod 640x480 exporting template. It's good enough for youtube.

The DVX100 should excell here .

I have written to You Tube to complain about the crappy quality when I post a video following all the tips .
and Now you can't shrink the window to get a better picture.This is when the Video looks great NOT NOW!!!
Some seem to get View High Quality buttuon.
HMMM who do they know at You Tube ?

I have used WMV files and MP4 settings with the same results .

And I tone down the audio settings and crank up the Video settings to get as close to the 100MB limit.
Hahaha makes no difference.

It's who you blow at YouTube I guess.

There are some tricks for getting better video at youtube. Try this:

It's written for Apple Compressor, but you can do the same in Vegas.

Well actually, now youtube max is 1048 mb, which is cool.

I've been getting high quality 80 percent of the time...

I export using the .wmv, on best quality, 8,000,000/5,000,000 variable bit rate, 128 audio, 640 x 480

and its turning out better than before...
