I'm thinking about long term storage and about to start editing a feature. I think I'm going to buy the OWC Thunderbay IV and just swap drives in and out. Any advice on this product? I plan on using it as a JBOD and just backing up my drives regularly.
Anyone have opinions about the OWC Thunderbay IV?

I have one. Just be aware that it will count as 4 Thunderbolt devices.

I have one on my desk right now. It's the 20TB model. We had to purchase SoftRAID 5 to be able to configure it in RAID 5. No complaints so far. Here's a quick speed test:
It connects to my iMac via one Thunderbolt cable (not sure about David's remark above). I've flipped mine around so that I have access to the extra Thunderbolt port for accessing additional drives, but making sure that the intake on the front has a couple inches of open space in front of it. I like it so much that I'm thinking about purchasing one for my personal workstation at home.
