Anyone have experience with the PD-1 Dolly from Premier?

I've had good results with it. It's also pretty compact, relatively light and easy to use. I'm sure you've checked but if not maybe try a rental house that has them. They go pretty cheap for a weekend.

I worked with it several times and I love it.
It folds so compact that I can throw it in my trunk or on the back seat.
And I really prefer that "car lift" arm over the bazookas now. It´s like having a free mini jib.

If I ever find a used one that fits my budget, I gonna jump on it.

I have used this dolly several times and have always been happy with it. It is not a Fisher but unlike the Fisher it is light and and can contract plus you can buy instead of leasing.

Thanks guys. I just stumbled across it and was surprised at the price. I also like how the track wheels can be permanently mounted, but not interfere with the floor wheels. I built a very solid and effective deck style track dolly a few years ago and it has served me well. I have been kicking around some ideas about modifying it to have a seat and a bazooka. But I still lack a floor dolly. When I found this it seems like it will fit both needs, but still be portable.

The only major drawback to these for me when compared to a Chapman or a Fisher in the reviews I have read, is that the weight makes them a little less stable, especially off track. I would certainly expect the weight to be a factor in that regard, but I was also a little skeptical about how effective those wheels are on anything but dancefloor. Have you guys always used them on track, or have you used them off?

I'd love to own a Chapman or Fisher (if that were even possible), but I'm not sure how I could even transport it. :)

Do PD-1 Dolly and ABC Wide Base Dolly CD6 are in demand nowadays? In today's time, film-maker will go for drones and Gimbles or he will buy these classic dollies?
I want to know the trend.
