Anyone have a continual 'serious error' and exit from Premiere for 6.0.2 & MacBP

I've had essentially a continual series of crashes from Premiere loading in AVCHD from a Sony HDR SR11 camera. I've tossed preferences, flushed caches, etc. I've not 'reinstalled' yet...

However, none of those 'tricks' have changed the behavior.

The crash occurs very early in things, as I attempt to view the AVCHD media. The media is viewable in VLC as individual MTS files, ore via the Quicktime 10, as a 'video chunk'.

Further... when I run Premiere CS5, and import the same collection of files, CS5 is able to play the media, albeit at a reduced quality...

The Mac Book Pro is a recent Retna, with 16GB ram, SSD disk, and Lion 10.8.2, quad i7 2.6GHz, etc.

Has anyone else had wyrd problems with CS6?

I have had it happen with .R3D files at times. What I have found is it is usually one corrupted frame that throws the whole system for a loop. Now finding that frame can be difficult.

Now I'm worried... but in my case, the clips play in other apps, including CS5... but generate an immediate 'serious error' response when I double click on the clip to view.

I'm going to 'reinstall' this weekend...

Ok. So I finally had time to uninstall Premiere CS6, use the Adobe Cleaner, and reinstall Premiere...

I in fact pretty much 'uninstalled' my entire cloud installation, so now I have to reinstall everything... perhaps that was over board, but this shotgun approach seemed to cleared up the Premiere problem...

With Final Cut Pro it use to be 'throw away the preferences' for these sorts of problems (which I of course did initially for my current problem...)... for Adobe it seems to be 'throw away the entire installation, and reinstall'...
