The new one is supposed to have a 16% improvement in battery life, not huge but it all helps.

I'll be glad we will have several choices of carriers for the new iPhone 4.
 
correction - 16% bigger battery. This could equate to the same battery life (more hungry hardware), better battery life, a lot better battery life (more efficient hardware), or worse battery life (very hungry hardware). Point is, it's just a bigger battery - will have to wait to see about actual battery life.

I doubt this was intentional on Apple's part.

Hopefully Apple does not need to cut any features from the prototype, as that would be quite the buzzkill.
 
I'll try to hold out for Verizon then. When is that supposed to happen? We have ITouch now and I would like to, at leasr, have the Iphone and it's apps to start. The technology is changing soooo fast.

this is standard procedure anymore; 'leaked' info builds its own hype and marketing; its basically free advertisement.
 
I just came out of my 3G agreement and got a note from AT&T for the upgrade to the 3GS. Think I'll wait for the 4. Looks good.

AT&T isn't nearly as bad as people say. Heck, T-Mobile has been trying to get $90 from me for two years now - and I've never even been a customer. I guess Sprint is supposed to be the best, but I don't want a single phone they offer.

Seems people can't live without one these days...or at least that's what they want you to think.

I think my kids would actually die without their phones!

Have I got this totally wrong? I thought iphone os4 was for any iphone? Not only the new iphone.

Dunno but in addition to the new OS4 they also have the new iPhone 4 (4G), maybe it will work on older phones, dunno, I know the new iPhone 4 has the same processor the iPad has but under clocked to save battery life.

This guy who lost the iPhone 4 might not be at Apple anymore from what I'm hearing now so maybe it wasn't a set up for PR.

Anyone else could find a new unreleased blackberry on a bar and no one would care :)

Iphone os4 is for all the previous models (except 2g and not everything will work on the older gen ones as multitasking for example, which will only work on the 3gs and new gen ipod touch).
