Anyone ever shot on the Arri Alexa, what was it like?

I got a commercial client that I might be able to talk into renting one for a commercial shoot. I've never shot on one before so would have to research the workflow and see what sort of computer specs I'd need to even edit the footage.

I see the camera is going for $1500 a day at most rental shops. Also need to figure out what additional things I'd need to rent with it.

Would be my first Arri shoot if the client goes for it. Commercial budget is $10k so I think we can afford it.

Most rental houses have a package with everything you need to have the Alexa running including lenses. We only used Prores recording for commercials so the post work is as simple as can be.

We have shot with it a number of times. Workflow is just like any other camera we use. We don't opt the extra rental charges for Arri raw or high speed license though. As a side, the agency we were using this camera for did a complete 180 and we now shoot their clients stuff on a 5D mk3 as the client can't see a difference in the footage and it saves them $25k a year.
