Anyone Ever Notice...

I'm sitting here watching Return of the Jedi and one thing has always bugged me. In any shots of the emperor sitting in his chair, the DoF is pretty shallow and everything behind his face falls out of focus, except for the starfield. That dang starfield stays tack sharp the entire time.

Just something I feel like should have been caught when they were composting it.

I noticed that last time I watched it. I guess Lucas didn't have enough money to "fix" it after the wonderful new dance number at Jabba's Palace.

I did notice this the last time it was on TV. Annoying, but most people (i.e. my fiancee) don't see stuff like this.

Don't you know there is no bokeh in space?...I actually noticed this too recently. Maybe I was always distracted by the black blob on Palpatine's cloak next to his eyes to see the star field.

you ever notice that the 200,000degree light sabers, that cut metal dont cast any light ANYWHERE around them?

They actually cast shadows!...If you want to get nitpicky, laser bolts shouldn't streak in small packets like bullets. They move at the speed of light, so in most shots you'd see one continuous beam being emitted at the target.

What bothers me, was the destruction of the second Death Star. I mean, the first one was finished when the rebellion blew it up, and Evil is spanked. But the second time, it wasn't even finished. In order to finish such a massive project, the Empire had to bring in Contractors from all over. I mean, do you think the Storm Troopers know anything about installing a Toilet main? All they know about is white suits and marching...
