Anyone ever have a MicroPro LED on camera light blow out on them?

Been using mine for awhile, no problems. Then last week on a shoot in a NYC jazz club,
I decided to plug the light in and forgo the batteries to ensure I'd have enough power.
The light worked great testing w/ the batteries (takes 6 AA), then I plugged it in and it worked.
Left, came back 10 minutes later before the show to turn it on, and it didn't work.
But it did make a slight humming/buzzing sound. Unplugged it, put batteries in, didn't work.
Now it seems dead. It had worked many times before plugged in.
Assuming I blew the light out.
Thoughts? Thanks!

Humming/Buzzing from the light or the ac adapter ? if from the light, sounds like the internal driver (electronics board that controls the led current and dimming part) is dead. The ac adapter you were using on it, was it the one supplied or bought seperately ? If bought seperately, perhaps the voltage out was too much for the led light (driver) to handle even though it worked well before. If the light does not work with the AA's, then it's time for repair or replacement.
