Anyone ever done an EPK for an indie film?

Hey cats,

A friend is making his own film and was wanting me to do an Electronic Press Kit for him. Video shot behind the scenes, interviews and stuff like that.
Anybody have any links or advice on putting one of these things together? I'm thinking a DVD.

I have shot a tone of EPK stuff for bigger films right down to the IFC channel(I have the Tshirt ;D) There are lots of little tips. First of try not to slow things down or get in the way. Seems obvious, but you have to very aware of where you are at all times. Shooting interaction with the dirctor and the actors is great stuff. Shoot things that people do not get to see by just watching the film. If you are shooting during a take, do not just shoot the shot with out any lights or crew members. If they want that they can just pull it from the film. Go wider, shoot with the camera and the actors in shot. Or perhaps behind the director watching the monitor. The other thing folks love is a director or actor interacting with your camera, it makes people feel like they are there and part of the magic.
Another thing that would help is to get an audio feed from the sound mixer to your camera. They are there getting good sound, take advantage of it.
Most important thing of all is have fun with it. Shoot all the things you thought you would want to see when they were shooting Starwars or whatever got you into this in the first place.

Prairie Boy, you rock!

That is all such fantastic advice. A huge help!

Do you know, is the finished product a menu driven DVD maybe? So the watcher can navigate right to the director's interview, cast interviews, behind the scenes footage?
Also, what do you think, 24p or 60i?

Thanks again, man.
