Anyone else get a email from Canon for web survey offering 30% off when completed?

Received a email from Canon with a link for a web survey to take about Canon gear. Upon completion it offers a 30% discount code for the Canon online store as a way to say thanks for completing the survey. Thought I'd pick up another lens, but unfortunately the code isn't working.

A call to Canon customer support had to escalate the call up the chain because the code was not working for them either.

Email came from the Canon Imaging Technologies & Communications Group and was signed off as "Canon Customer Advisory Board."

Seemed legit, could be a technical glitch, but I guess you never know.

Yeah, I got that email.
Filled out the survey. It was primarily about the Cinema EOS line and uses. I didn't give any personal information.
The code didn't work either. I called up Canon USA customer service and they had no idea what the survey or code might be so they had me send an email to cits. We'll see if anybody gets back to me.

Got the email. Didn't do the survey yet, but if anyone gets an actual discount code that works, let me know.

Got an email from CITS saying that the code hadn't been activated as of yesterday, but that it is now. I tried it and it seems to work. It doesn't work on refurbished lenses, but it does on standard EF lenses. I'm eyeing a 200-400 f/4. Just kidding. Sort of.

Do it!

I completed the survey yesterday and received the activation code. Code didn't work yesterday. However, today I received an email with the code again stating it is NOW (the code) active! I think I'll be shopping for a lens at 30% off!!! I've been invited to complete these surveys in the past (and yes, the activation codes for discounts were authentic)!!!

So I can cancel my Canon 18-80 pre-order at B&H, re-order it from Canon, with $1590 off. Or get $6900 off on a Canon 30-105 T/2.8 lens. Sounds too good to be true! :)

Received a follow up email basically stating the code is now working. Worked just fine, picked up a 55-250 STM for our C100 MK II.

I'm not a CPS member, so it isn't CPS related. All of the questions were about using the Cinema EOS line and I have a couple Canon cameras registered with the Cinema EOS group. I'm guessing they pulled names from that list.

I am a Canon CPS Gold member, but I don't have any Cinema EOS items registered. I don't think I received the survey.

(That account gets 100+ emails a day. But I didn't see it. Will do a search.)
