If I bought another dual-DVI output video card, could I have three or four monitors hooked up to my G5 instead of just two?

dont' you think that is a bit nutty? a lot to keep track of. why do peopple do dual, anyway, why not just a huge monitor, like a 30 incher?

Well, I've got two now, one of which I use as a Digital Desktop Display. I'd really like to have a third to work on Motion or something while I'm in FCP. Plus, 30" monitors are REALLY expensive, especially when I've already got two perfectly good Dells.

Well for the current Intel ones, on the Apple site you can configure it with four NVidia 7300's, so I would think you could put in a second dual DVI yes.

cheers.

I believe there are issues with power consumption if you have two graphics cards and need another PCI card such as a SATA or video capture card (AJA / BMD).
Need to check what power requirments the graphics cards you want to use have. The PCI Express bus has a maximum of 300 watts.
