Anybody understand the 24pa interlace problem?

I've seen this question around quite a bit in different forums but never with an answer so sorry if this is a repeat.

Does anybody know what causes the interlacing in the Project window and exported footage when using 24pa footage in CS4? I've "Interpreted Footage", I'm editing on a 24p timeline and exporting out to 23.976 yet my footage is interlacing on simple movements like turning heads of raising hands. Very frustrating!

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

I just shot a quick test with my XHA1 in 24p using the 2:3:3:2 option. I captured with Premiere Pro CS4, in a 24p DV project. I right clicked on the footage in the project window and under interpret footage, I selected remove pulldown. It automatically changed my frame rate to 23.976. I inserted the footage into my timeline, clicked through it frame by frame and there was no interlacing.

I wil post my exact export settings tonight. I right clicked the footage in Premiere and choose interpret footage, then choose 24pa
