Has anybody ever built an HTML type autoloader?

I had a contract awhile back that required an interactive dvd and they wanted 2 different menus..one that when you pop it in the computer, you get the movie and pdf/website links. The other menu would only show the movie when put in a tv dvd player.

I'd love to get in contact with somebody that is capable of doing this well because I will have other projects requiring this.
Thanks.

Yup.

You make an enhanced DVD. There are additional files placed on the DVD which interact with the DVD content. I use director standalones, (even sometime with flash at same time), one each for PC and Mac. These can react to events in the DVD to cause webpage links, PDF interaction or what have you. The DVD content is viewed through the standalone custom interface which you can design yourself. You can also create shockwave based players which allows the whole mess to be viewed through your web browser, including the DVD content. On PC an autorun file will automatically launch the interface. On a set top player you get the interface you made for your DVD Video content alone.

If you use an autorun for PC and you already have a DVD player open when you put the DVD in the autorun is ignored. Otherwise everything works fine. If you don't have director handy, you can get a product called Sonic eDVD.
