Anybody Having Problems Capturing In Fcp6????

I cannot get FCP6 to recognise that my DVX100B is attached. I'm being forced to capture all my footage in imovie. Is there anything i need to be aware of with dragging and dropping clips from imovie into my bin in FCP6??

I've trashed my fcp prefs and my quicktime reciepts and still nothin.

ANY IDEAS?????

Yes, I've been experiencing some problems. I shot with a DVX100 but I've been capturing with an HV20. Never had any problems until I upgraded to FCP6. When I capture, the entire clip is recorded to the hard drive and I can see the whole thing in quicktime.

But if I try to view it in FCP, it gets cut off in the middle. It seems as if there is some metadata in there telling FCP that the file ends earlier than it really does.

Anyway, that's the problem I'm experiencing. Is that what's happening to you?

See other thread in the forum about iMovie capture- not recommended. If you are working with FCP you should never go into iMovie.

You know guys i finally figured it out. All needed was a full reinstall of quicktime. Man, that was a hard one to figure out!
