Any Way To NOT Take Up More Than 1TB??

So I was forcefully volunteered to shoot the elementary school I attended's graduation. Did four cameras - ALL different resolutions and codecs: 960x720, 1920x1080, 1440x1080, and 1280x720... So after transcoding, I had forgotten that it all needs to be the same res to multiclip, so I began to render and export each file as a PreRes 422 HQ File @ Full Raster 1080p30. Is there an easier way to do this, because I am half way done after 2 days...... Currently inhabiting 950GB on my G-Drive when I only have another 50G...... Locking me out of Final Cut when I could be doing real paid jobs..... Any thoughts? (Besides dump the project? I wish quite honestly but my mom works there and may lose her job due to budget cuts. Doing a HUGEGEGEGE favor like this is making her look really good to her employer.).

Use MPEG streamclip or something? At least it won't lock you out of FCP.
Besides, are you editing in FCP7? You can use most resolutions and codecs mixed (not even a need to convert to ProRes if you don't mind some rendering). Just use the widest/largest video as sequence template and then zoom in the rest of the clips, export at a resolution you like.

I certainly wouldn't use ProResHQ. If you HAVE to use ProRes, just use LT. But what I'd probably do would be transcode to something like DVCPRO-HD, which will save significant storage space while still giving you nice HD quality to work with.

Ah, i getz it now. Yes, what Stephen said is a great suggestion. And as i said; use another program with batch list and let it render 24/7 while you work on other stuff.

It should, it has a batch list and can crop or stretch your video to any resolution, use it a lot to squeeze my anamorphic footage into the right aspect ratio. Very easy to use as well :).
