I'm working on a music video, and I have clips that come up multiple times. I edited everything in Premiere Pro, and imported to After Effects. Each cut is on a separate layer. I need to go through and color correct each shot so that it matches, and then to some FX work and secondary color correction.
If I have the same scene show up 7 different times in the video (so it is on 7 different layers in After Effects), is there a way to have an effect work on all of those layers, so that if I make a change later on, I don't have to make that change separately 7 different times?
I know that I can precompose those shots into one comp, but then I won't be able to see the edits in the main comp, so I won't know when that view starts and stops.
Is there something I'm missing, or do I just need to copy and paste over and over every time I make a change to an effect?
