Any suggestions for headphones in the field without exposed wires?

I am looking for a pair of headphones. I was thinking of the Sony MDR-7506, but the little bit of exposed wire has me concerned. I try to be good to my gear, but sometimes i'm not and i just can foresee broken wires. So, what would be a pair as good in quality that has no exposed wires?[h=1][/h]

Exposed wires? I have a pair of 7506's and Sennheiser HD280's, and neither have actual exposed wire. Are you talking about actually seeing the copper wire?

The Sennheiser HD 25-1 II are the industry standard in Europe.

The cable is steel and extremely tough.

If you don't see any exposed cable - then it runs inside the headband and tends to be bore prone to breakage.

Can you list more equipment that are "industry standard in Europe"? I'm just curious :)

Well, the wire isn't totally exposed. It's in a plastic casing. but it is sticking out a bit.

By "Industry Standard" I mean that it is the choice of most people.

So, for professional Broadcast location recordists it seems to be the HD 25-1 for headphones and the SD 788T for the recorder and the MKH 416 as a short gun mic. In the UK Audio Ltd. seem the be the radiomic. used by most - though Sennheiser G2/G3 and Micron also come into play.
