Yep, I have Dan's version 8 courseware and the version 9 courseware. Really great stuff. Kurv Studios is also excellent for specific content tutes, especially the lighting videos improved my renders 10 fold, and SimplyLightwave as well.

If your boss wants you to learn the program then he will likely be willing to pay for a training DVD if it gets you up to speed faster. Why don't you ask him if he'll buy the training?
