Hi,

I got two questions..

1) is it true that there are some problems with editing dvx footage (PAL) on Vegas? I heard something about sound problems like slowing down 4%....Is it true or just bullsh*t?

2) what is the best way to trasfer PAL footage to NTSC without loosing quality? I heard something about Vegas software but nothing detailed....

Thanks,

Re: any problems with editing PAL with Vegas?

PAL edits fine in Vegas. A 4% slow down will happen if you transfer to film.

PAL can be converted to NTSC with DVFilm Atlantis, which preserves as much vertical detail as possible through
motion-sensitive deinterlacing, followed by something akin to
a 3:2 pulldown. See dvfilm.com/atlantis
