Any PPCS5 users still transcoding?

Just got ppcs5 and its pretty kool to have realtime playback even with colour graded NATIVE 7d files without rendering. However...any still transcode to a 10bit codec for grading? Do u see a noticable difference in quality between graded native files and transcode files?

I do.

I use Cineform [Neo HD], Majic Bullet Looks and First Light.
I have my Cineform AVI's set to High.
Without transcoding I could see blocking when I used MBL but with Cineform the blocking is not there for me.

Keep in mind that PproCS5 is actually converting all your h264 footage into a 32bit float image in real-time in RAM (if you're got your playback/render settings set to maximum). Therefore I would conclude that converting to a 10bit source for color grading actually does nothing to improve anything at all.

I use NeoScene version 5 with CS5. Ive been using neoscene with CS4 and when CS5 came out, neoscene was a free upgrade. I still transcode cuz I fine that every now and then, my playback will stutter with the native mov files even though I have a pretty fast computer and CUDA card. Another reason I transcode, is that there is a notisible difference when using AE CS5 with cineform files than mov files.
