if you do, when you capture it onto the computer are the files m2t and really big like 100 mb for only a few seconds? how can i edit somthig that takes up my whole computer

thank you

um... im not sure if this works for full hd, but for hdv you can find an intermediary codec from http://www.cineform.com/

its a plugin for your nle that makes hdv much more manageable than m2t files. what are you working on?

nice. connect hd from cineform is what you want. im not sure how many options there are for intermediary codecs, but ive been using the 14 day free trail and it works like a charm.

when you swear, it's automated. poo poo poo poo ***** poo pooer poo pooing asshole. well i guess asshole is ok...

this is gay we have to pay for this poo poo. you'd expect a 3000 dollar camera to come with it,

Actually, you would expect someone who is going to plunk down three grand for a camera to know what they will need as far as storage and hardware. If you think it is poo poo, or everything should be handed to you with velvet gloves, don't buy a three thousand dollar camera. You wont be able to make the most of it anyway.

A camera is only the beginning of the investment.

If I remember correctly, Vegas 6 has the Cineform intermediary codec with it. Won't be the same as the one that Cineform ships, but it should work. Try reading the manual/help file! :)
