Any one compared the Senal UTM-86 with other lower budget lavs such as say the Oscar

I do believe Senal is a BH house brand if that matters. BH is doing this more and more, pushing there own labels. I think Polsen is another along with Impact, Kopal and more that I can't think of. This isn't necessarily bad, but in many cases are probably rebranding Chinese products that you might find on eBay under a different branding.
 
Seal is one of the brands sold by Gradus Group, a "sister company" of B&H, IIRC. You can see the list of brands here:

Lots of the stuff appears to be lower-priced knockoffs of other companies' established products. I've never owned any of their products; they're probably OK for low-end short-term use. But then, it could be that specs and manufacturers could shift from year to year. Not a diss; just how things go at that end of the market.
