EDIT: VERY BIZARRE. SOMEHOW OFFICE BECAME DEACTIVATED. REACTIVATED AND SORTED OUT.

orginal post:

I have a production board spreadsheet that I use in Excel that has macros and buttons and whatnot in order to do script breakdowns and productions boards. I was zooming along and got about halfway through a 110 page script, now all of a sudden Excel will only open documents in "Compatibility Mode" and I not only cant use the buttons and macros, but I cant even copy/paste or do almost anything.

It's so frustrating flying through this work only to be held up by something that I'm not even sure of what's happening.

At first I thought maybe I accidentally saved the worksheet under an incorrect format, however even the original document (which I never touch - it stays in a ZIP and I unzip an instance each time I want a new worksheet) opens in Compatibility Mode now.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

And just to be clear, I'm looking for an answer for how to get this to work again, I'm not looking for another breakdown/production board solution.

Thanks!

Details: Vista 32bit, MS Office 2007. Original file is an XLS (97-2003), not XLSX.
