Any luck with Zoetrope? Do others recommend using it for good exposure?

I'm interested in hearing other member's views on the website zoetrope.com. Does anyone post their screenplays there? Has anyone had any good feedback (from a professional) or had a producer contact them after reading their work on Zoetrope?

There is a 'Hall of Fame' where sold work is posted, and the only way to have it posted there is if it was first workshopped on Zoe, but I don't really know how all of them are being sold. I do know some writers send their scripts off to script festivals after the Zoe workshop, and end up selling them, so I'd say Zoe is an important resource for prepping a script for the market, but it may or may not be getting big producer exposure. I'm sure a few are scouting around the winners circle Zoe has every month. There are some top-notch scripts there.

The reviews can be great - well, most. Some are just trying to skate by on the minimum number of words, and you can pretty much tell they didn't really read it.

Maybe 20 people will download it, but only 5 to 10 will read it. Of those, a few of the reviews will make it all worth it.

I have been on there about two years and have had many a script reviewed, and in return have reviewed many (40 features, 100 shorts), and you really can learn a lot doing the reviews as well.

I would say go for it and see how it works out. Some folks complain about the quality, others love it. Consistency wavers.
