Any left-handed users?

Hi. I was trying to find a forum that compiled stories and information about left-handed individuals. I couldn't find one so I created one. I'm sure there are issues with right-handed cameras for example. Would appreciate if people joined and chimed in with experiences or suggestions. Thanks.

Nice site. I love the logo. I always liked the saying that we left handed people are the only ones in our right minds. :)

I'm a lefty, but since I've ALWAYS been this way, I'm usually not conscious of how I adjust, compensate and make do in most situations where stuff is configured for righties, I just do. Except, I realize that when I go through the turnstile in a train station, I'm often reaching across my body with my left hand to feed the ticket into the slot. Looks idiotic, I'm sure. Cameras, along with most other things, fit into the "I don't even know what normal means" category.

I am a lefty as well in many thing, but it helped that I am also somewhat ambidextrous since I was a kid. And a number of years ago, I lost my R index finger and part of my right thumb to an explosives accident. So right handed cameras give me a bit of trouble (especially the viewfinder's), but I just adapt. I rigged things so I can fly my HVX on the DVRigProHD (right shoulder), yet still use my left eye on the VF and I use the Varizoom controller on the stick or on a finger to control the basic cam operations (Record, Focus, Iris). (Also L eye dominant)

I noticed on your forum you have one listed for famous lefties. There are a TON in show business. Jerry Seinfeld, Tim Allen, Jason Bateman, George Burns, Brad Pitt, and so on
