After effects people! I am familiar with plexus (which is what I think this came from) what Im not familiar with is using it to overlay an image like this.. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it!!! I just don't know how to go about starting on this. I tried creating a bunch of different custom shapes but it didn't look the greatest at all. Or at least nowhere near what I would like the final product to look like.

I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to achieve. But you can do this in Maya or any other software fairly simply. It's just a wire mesh which you could render out using a plugin.
