Any help for polarized stills

I have created some motion keyframes on some old yearbook pages. Only problem is that it was printed on that old scratched up paper stuff, with designed etchings into the pages. Anyway, so I scanned it in and now it makes weird polarizing effects when it moves on the screen. How would I get rid of this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check out the background of the photo.... see the way it polarizes or whatever?!! I don't know what to do to make it look any better.

Adjusting the scan might help with moire' patterns that the moving stills exhibited.

It has helped me in the past while panning stills.
