Any good festivals?

Hey I was looking for some upcoming student only fests, or film festivals where students compete against other students. nothing specifically open to only students - the one I did find was for film only (16mm or 35mm) others that I've found are open to everybody (NYIFV fest, SoundUnseen, etc)

I found one fest that McDermitt was in and won the best of the best award for video/filmmaking, but you need to be either 17/18 by December, and I was born in January so I'm not elegible by one damn month. So that's outta the question -- even though I was considering waiting till the next one anyways...

So does anybody know any good ones coming up?

Nice blk - how did I not find this before? Have I been drinking too much gasoline?

However I was looking to see if anybody had any festivals they knew about or had come into contact with that weren't just the type that accept everybody, ya know? Also a lot of the festivals over there on the site are - well they're not active anymore.

try www.withoutabox.com. They list tons of festivals (and you can apply to them from that website) and they have message boards to ask questions and whatnot.
